Originally the married mens quarters on the farm, fitting two married couples, this shack has been extensively renovated and modernised into a comfortable getaway for a family or couple wanting a weekend or more away from it all.
The shack is part of a historic old sheep farm in Western Victoria that is still operated by the family of the original squatter, and is an easy drive to the Grampians or the world renowned 12 Apostles or just stay on the farm and have a look at a farming lifestyle.
The Shack is located on a seventh Generation Sheep farming enterprise, and has plenty of heritage of buildings and offers an insight into when Australia ‘rode on the sheep’s back’.
The hill (Mt Koang) is approximately two kilometres from the Shack, visitors are free to walk up the hill to see the views of the surrounding district. The historic shearing shed built in 1851 can be viewed with sheep surrounding the shed.
