Hello, Need help planning your trip? Ask me anything!
Hello
To the west of the township of Camperdown, at the top of a windswept hill, you will find the Camperdown Botanic Gardens and Arboretum. They occupy a spectacular site with views across the ancient Western Victorian volcanic plains and the crater lakes of Bullen Merri and Gnotuk. This is the sacred land of the Djargurd Wurrung people – Eastern Maar Country.
The gardens showcase a wide variety of plants, with highlights including an impressive collection of native Australian species, large trees providing shade, and beautifully landscaped flower beds. The gardens are also home to a variety of birds, adding to the peaceful atmosphere.
The Botanic Gardens are easily accessible with ample parking available on-site.
A smooth, well-maintained walking path winds through the gardens, making it easy for visitors of all abilities to explore the area. The gardens are pet-friendly, and dogs are welcome on leads.
