Lake Purrumbete, located just south of Camperdown, is a picturesque volcanic lake renowned for its fishing opportunities and stunning views. This large lake, formed from the remnants of an ancient volcanic crater, offers a peaceful setting for relaxation and outdoor activities.
The lake is famous for its excellent fishing, with species such as rainbow trout, brown trout, chinook salmon, and Australian bass abundant in the clear waters. Anglers can enjoy fishing here. Boat access is available by entering through the caravan park.
