Hello
The Loch Ard Gorge precinct offers an awe-inspiring experience, where natural forces and shipwreck history converge. Offshore stacks, blowholes, and striking formations like the Razorback and Island Arch make this area a highlight along the Great Ocean Road. A precinct map is available at the main car park or the Visitor Information Centre in Port Campbell.
Loch Ard Gorge takes its name from the tragic 1878 shipwreck of the Loch Ard, where only two survivors—teenagers Eva Carmichael and Tom Pearce—made it to safety. Their story symbolizes hope amidst the many shipwrecks that define this dramatic coastline.
